  1. I enjoyed the sermon on forgiveness. I sent out my daily bible verse on the 25 about forgiveness. Julie asked me if I heard your sermon. She sent me the link today and I listened to it. Great job! There is so much to be said about forgiveness that a simple verse or even one sermon can not cover the vastness of the subject. What a privilege to be in the family of God and have such forgiveness. I too have had many things done to me and have acted out by hurting others, and never saw why. When I finally decided to forgive and get forgiven, that has taken a long time to complete. I kept getting reminded by God of someone I hurt and had hurt others. I am now totally free! My relationship with the Father is more intimate and almost constant.

This sermon series on prayer has me doing a lot of thinking. I never considered myself having a problem with prayer, but now I am not so sure. Here is my question. Is it wrong to NOT pray about something if you fear what the answer might be? For example, I tend to not ask for God’s guidance in my life in things like my giving, my service at church, my volunteering, etc because I expect that the “God speaks” part of this prayer is spoken to me every week. For me I feel that God would want me to do more for God and more for good. In my situation though that would mean doing less for others I am already serving via other volunteer activities and family activities. And this could be a difficult path to possibly head down. Am I wrong to feel this way? So I focus most of my attention in my prayers to asking for God’s help with other people I know.
